How do we work?

As a home stager, my favorite projects are completed while collaborating with home owners. I can work with any budget, and provide as much or as little help as you desire. Clients sometimes want to do projects themselves, but need a little design guidance, someone to bounce ideas off of, to go shopping with, or to hire the perfect contractor.

We start with a consultation in your home. This meeting is very thorough, so please allow up to 2 hours. We review any projects you have already completed and discuss changes you would like to make. At the same time, we discover your likes, dislikes, and vision for your home.

The initial consultation is a total “brain dump” of ideas, not only for the specific space, but also for the other spaces in your home. Each room is interconnected and understanding how you live in your home is key.

Quite often, redesign projects can be completed with items “shopped” from your home. We will always inventory furniture and accessories you already own before suggesting the purchase of new items. Our goal is to get you the most “bang for your buck” with all redesign projects.

E-Decorating 

$250 per room

Perfect for clients who live outside of the Greater Houston Area. You send photos of your room and answer a questionnaire via email. Then, simply pay for your session via PayPal. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email, and I will get started.

Within 2 weeks, you will receive a personalized Design Plan for your room, including color selection, furniture selection and placement, as well as accessory/art selection.  Detailed sourcing information for the specific colors and items suggested for purchase, locally or online, will be included with your detailed Design Plan.

A 30 minute phone call will be scheduled to review your Design Plan together and answer any questions you may have. Send me a photo of your final room for feedback/confirmation, if desired.

New Construction Finishes Selection

$75 per hour

Embarking on the new construction building process is a very exciting time. I know from personal experience that navigating the many options for finishes and builder upgrades can be quite overwhelming.

Let Sitting Pretty Redesign work with you and your builder to make the process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. As veterans to the design process, we can see the “big picture,” even with the tiny sample sizes to work with in the Design Center Showroom.

Our goal is to make certain you end up with a home that fits your unique style, personality, taste and budget!

We start with a 1 hour consultation meeting that will be focused on learning your style and taste. We will review and select photos of inspiration rooms to reference while at your builder’s Design Center.

I will then accompany you to your selections meeting(s) with your builder. I can stay for as little or as much of the meeting as you desire. Many builders break up the selection process into several meetings, such as exterior selections, interior selections and mechanical/electrical fittings.
